I use ameritrade thinkorswim platform and sometimes use the built in prophet charts and sometimes use the thinkorswim ones. When charting the eur/usd on one chart (ameritrades) it shows it breaking out of the channel, but on the prophet chart it shows it just barely breaking the downward channel.

inks2002

as you can see i failed that activity in kindergarten ha. I see….14 in thinkorswim and 16 in the prophet, what to believe though? What would you suggest in a situation like this, not a trade recomendation but I guess would you think the euro is breaking the trend or still in it?

yeah from what it looks like thinkorswim cuts out the 25th, 26th, 27th of december, and starts again on the 28th for the futures and the currencies. where as the prophet chart skips only the 25th of december, which seems more logical to me for futures and currencies trading.

inks2002

from what I see if thinkorswim included those days it would match prophets.

Xspurt

Now your next learning curve is to decide which is the correct approach. Most traders won’t even know the difference exists.

inks2002

from looking at the charts it would seem the prophet chart is the one a trader should follow. It seems crazy that thinkorswim would take out days that a currency would trade.

My mean reversion strategy on TOS

Hi everyone, thought I’d share my mean reversion trading setup that has been very profitable for me. I coded almost all of this myself on thinkscript – most of it is additions to already existing indicators or combining and changing multiple indicators. Here’s the setup:

Paper Trading Sucks

I just started paper trading today – after not doing so well on live trading. Prior to this, Ive been live trading on TOS for the past few months, and more or less know how it is like.

Finding Open Interest Skew on ToS

I’m not sure how to find on TOS the breakdown of bid vs ask percentages for the open interest of an option.

Show Trades

Is there any other way to show trade on the chart? an Indicator or something else that is not “show trades” in settings??

Does anyone tested how the ToS app runs on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 – in particular, any issues with the elongated screen?

From the reviews I see online, the Z Flip 3 has a narrower but longer screen, which creates a “black bar” effect for watching some videos, and also certain apps get cut off (as in the full app does not fit in the screen).

OCO order for existing options position – Desktop

I’ve seen several examples online showing that when you right-click an existing options position there is an option to create a closing OCO order. The only closing order option that shows up for me is a BTC limit order.
